Having big and expensive machines for welding is all well and good, but you’re not going to get a specific precision weld without the assistance of a tip. PAS manufactures staking, insertion, and welding tips for precise applications and machines. We make a wide variety of tips to suit almost any application you can think of. Chances are high that if you can’t find what you’re looking for, we can still find a solution for you.
Types of Tips
The tip is usually the replaceable part of the machine on the end. It can often be tightened onto a larger machine to provide more precise control over the task at hand. Tapped horns, heated probes, and heated tip blocks are examples of components that are able to attach to a tip. Most tips are designed for specific functions. Common tips can perform tasks such as:
- Spot welding
- Hot Knife De-Gating
- Date Coding
The materials that make up the tip differ depending on what the tip will be used for. For example, tips designed for heat-base applications are likely to be made of highly conductive and durable materials while tips for ultrasonic horns are more likely to be made from titanium.
Which One Should You Use?
The type of tip you choose to use depends largely on the machine and what you plan on doing. If you are unsure about which tip is the best for your particular application, the PAS team is happy to answer your questions and point you in the right direction. We carry all kinds of parts, both for our machines and our competitors’ machines. Our knowledgeable team can help you find the answers and solutions you’re looking for.
