Dual Servo Spin Welding Is A Greener Choice

Spin welding is used in a variety of industries to join two or more pieces of plastic or resin during manufacturing, but many users don't realize how eco-friendly spin welding is compared to other methods of joining. When you choose dual servo controlled spin welding equipment instead of pneumatic systems, you're using an even greener method of custom joining.

Spin Welders

With dual servo controls, there is no need for an air compressor or compressed air, which saves users a significant amount of money. They don't need a separate compressor and they aren't using the additional energy needed to keep the compressor running, saving them in fuel costs.

Dual servo control spin welders eliminate the need for epoxies, glues, fillers, or additional resins when joining parts. This means fewer contaminants and less use of toxic chemicals or additives. A spin welder releases almost no fumes, smoke, or residue into the air, making it an excellent green choice when manufacturing plastic components. Since you are only applying heat or friction to the precise area to be joined, you are also using less energy producing much less heat as a by-product of the process, all important considerations if you want green technology that still allows you to securely fit and join plastic parts.

Dual servo control spin welders also give you higher weld power than similar pneumatic systems and require lower RPMs to form the weld, making them particularly suited for use with some resins. They are easier to automate and have better process control, enabling you to streamline your procedures and resulting in a cost-effective, ecologically friendly assembly process.

The product result with spin welding is eco-friendly as well. Since you haven't used any adhesives, fillers, or staples to join the parts, you haven't added additional, unnecessary parts to the finished product. Your end product is less likely to end up in a landfill if it is made completely of recyclable plastics without fillers or metal parts.

The lack of fillers or joining materials, the lack of an air compressor, and minimal use of energy all combine to make dual servo spin welders one of the greenest choices for joining plastics. For information on spin welding and other forms of friction welding, log onto HeatStaking.com.
